Pre-Festival Concert
On Thursday, February 26th in Madison HS Auditorium beginning at 6:30PM the Madison Bands are hosting their 2015 Pre-Festival concert!
Call time for Wilkinson Students: 5:30PM in the HS Band Room in FULL UNIFORM. Call time for Madison Students: 6:00PM in the HS Band Room in FULL UNIFORM.
This concert will feature the Wilkinson Concert Band, Wilkinson Symphonic Band and the Madison HS Symphony Band in preparation for their upcoming festival performances. Each band will take a turn playing through their program on stage, then afterwards our guest adjudicators Mr. Douglas Burtch and Mr. Ryan Cupp will spend 15-20 minutes working with each group. For those unfamiliar with Band Festival, it is the band equivalent to a state competition where hundreds of bands state wide will participate. Our performance consists of a prepared concert, adjudicated by 3 seasoned musicians, and a sight-reading portion where the students (and director!) are challenged with learning an entirely new piece of music in just 5 minutes.
As you know, the bands have been working very hard all year and we hope that you are able to make it to one of our upcoming performances. I know the students would love to see your support for the band program!
